Realme 5 Pro gets a price cut in India, successor launch nearing?

Realme 5 Pro recently received a price cut in India. Generally, brands do this when the sales of the device or the company are down or when the company is all set to unveil the successor of the device. There is not quite a lot of information around the upcoming devices from the company but the Realme 6 series should happen considering all the hype and sales the 5 series brought to the table.

Ever since the Realme 2 Pro has launched, the consumers started believing in Realme and its products over the likes of Xiaomi and Redmi devices. The devices launched last year which includes the Realme 3 series and Realme 5 series of devices turned out to be the game changers in the mid-range market. Talking about their successor — The Realme 6 series is speculated to count in the Realme 6i, Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro.

Now, talking about the Realme 5 Pro and its price cut, the device is currently being sold on Flipkart. The Realme 5 Pro came out in three variants. The base is a 4GB/ 64GB variant, there is also 6GB/ 64GB variant and 8GB/128GB variants available. The 4GB variant was initially priced at Rs. 14,999 and now it is being sold for Rs. 12,999. The 6GB variant was previously priced 15,999 and now available for 13,999 and the maximized variant is available for users to by ar Rs. 15,999.

Realme 5 Pro Specifications

The Realme 5 Pro boasts a 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with a pixel density of 401 PPI. The aspect ratio here is 19.5:9. The device is almost bezel-less with 83.5% screen to body ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. As for the internals, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and is coupled with 4/6/8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

Adreno 616 handles the gaming duties here. On paper, this chipset is quite powerful and Adreno 620 should make the overall frames better. For the photographers, a quad rear camera setup can be expected with a 48 MP primary camera and an 8 MP wide-angle camera. There is also a territory 2 MP telephoto unit. As for selfies, Realme has gone with a 16 MP unit. The device comes with Android 10 with Realme UI on top. All this is backed by a 4035 mAh battery which supports VOOC fast charging.
