Steps to Make any Android device look Like Google Pixel 2/XL

  • First of all, you need to download this Popular launcher App, Nova Launcher on your Android Device, the App is available for free on the Google Play Store but there is a paid version of the app as well which offers a lot more customizations.
  • Once you have successfully downloaded and installed the App on your Android Device, then you need to open it and just keep tapping the Next button to skip the tutorial.
  • Now, clear all the Widgets from the Home screen, so all you have is a clean slate, to begin with. Also, remove the App Icons from the Home Screen make sure it’s clear.
  • Now go to the Nova Settings by long tapping on the Home Screen and selecting Nova Settings.
  • Tap on App & widget drawers and then, enable Swipe to open and finally disable the Swipe indicator to get the same swipe up to open the app drawer gesture as on the New Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Smartphones.
  • You might have noticed that there are no app labels on the App on the home screen of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. To get this on your Smartphone tap on desktop and then select “Icon layout” under Nova Settings.
  • Now to align the App Icons and Widgets like the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL,  tap on Height Padding and then Select Medium. Do same for the Width Padding, tap on Width Padding and then Select Medium.
  • There are no Page Indicators on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, so turn it off by Tapping on Page Indicators and then Selecting None.
  • Now go to Dock Settings in the Nova Settings and Set Transparency to 100%.
  • Now is the time to add some widgets on the Screen, go back to the Home Screen and long tap on it, then select Widgets and then find Quick Search Bar and add it to your Home Screen.
  • Now long tap on the Google Widget and tap on Resize, stretch it to the width of your Smartphone.
  • Now again long tap on the Google Search Widget and select Edit, now under bar Style select the first option. Scroll down to find the Logo Style and then select the colored G icon, also enable “Search as overlay”.
  • Now go back to the Home Screen and Add App Icons that you want to on your Home Screen.
  • Now, at last, to add that cool At a glance widget which shows you your calendar events, along with some other information including Time and Weather, download the Business Calendar 2 application for free from the Google Play Store.
  • Once you have successfully downloaded and installed the App on your Android Device, then you need to open it and just keep tapping the Next button to skip the tutorial.
  • Get back to your Home Screen, long tap on it and then select Widgets and add the Business calendar 2 widget on your home screen.
  • Like Google Search Widget, resize this Widget as well to stretch it to the Width of your Android Device.
  • To finish, tap on the Colors menu and then set the opacity to 0%. This widget would not look exactly like the Pixel 2 but looks very similar to it.
